House Rules
| Texas Hold 'Em | |
1. |
This
is a charitable event. Treat the dealers with respect. Players will be removed from Festival for abusing a
dealer or any other volunteer; or for profanity, loud or
unruly conduct, cheating, collusion or any other inappropriate
conduct.
|
2. |
Table stakes apply at all times (i.e. a player may only play the current hand with the money on the table prior to the start of the hand). A player may never remove money from the table except when leaving the table. Chips may never be removed from the table. |
3. |
If the dealer should accidentally show the bottom (or any) card, the dealer shall show the card to all players, and the card becomes the next burn card. |
4. |
If
the dealer turns over a card while dealing, the dealer keeps
dealing and comes back to the player whose card was turned
over and deals another. The card turned over becomes the next burn card.
|
5. |
If the dealer turns over 2 cards while dealing, a misdeal is called and the hand starts over. |
6. |
It is the player’s responsibility to ensure that they have 2 cards. If a player has, or has been dealt, too few or too many cards, the hand is dead at the point where the mistake is discovered and all money/chips bet remain in the pot. |
7. |
Players must keep their cards on or above the playing surface at all times. |
8. |
If
the dealer forgets to burn a card when appropriate, the dealer
shall ignore the mistake and keep dealing.
|
9. |
No players may show their hand to any other players who are still playing. If so, both hands become dead. |
10. |
If a player shows their hand to another player, this hand must be shown to all players when requested to do so by the dealer. Hence, "show one show all". |
